Subaru
Subaru-Fuji, a Japanese company, specializes in producing cars and trucks; the company takes part in aircraft industry and produces machinery.
The headquarters is in Tokyo.
In 1956 the company Fuji opened the subsidiary Subaru, which firstly manufactured mopeds Rabbit. Two years later the company launched Mini Car 360. At the beginning the sales were very poor, but the figures increased significantly and Subaru became the leading car maker of this class.
During the 60s the company was doing its best to improve the technical characteristics – the power output, the speed features. The company introduced several absolutely new models during these years – Leone 1400WD, Rex, Brat, Legacy, Libero, Vivio, Impreza, Forester.
At the beginning of the 21st century the total numbers of cars produced by Subaru is about half a million. Besides car making, the company does some other businesses: metallurgy, machinery tools, jet liner and space ship production.
