SMART Car
The joint enterprise MCC (Micro Compact Car AG) was created by Daimler-Benz and by Swiss Watch Maker Company SMH. The idea was to create a city two-seater economic car Smart.
The model Smart was firstly introduced at the motor showroom in Frankfurt.
The car is really small: the length of the body is about 2.5 meter and the weight is about 980 kilos. The car has low focal point that prevents the car from turning.
In fact the car is very safe as all the standard safety measures are present – airbags for a driver and a passenger, a crash manager.
Cabriolet was firstly introduced in September 1999.
