Oldsmobile
Oldsmobile is the oldest American car brand which cars are considered to be elite cars. The brand belongs to GM Corporation.
The founder of the company is Reins Olds, which built its own power engine car. A year later a petrol car was made. Because of high demand for the cars he decided to open a company Olds Motor Vehicle Company. But the attempt failed and the founder had to reconstruct the factory to avoid had situation.
The slogan of the firm was "We produce cars for those who are young at heart".
In 1901 Olds built his famous car Curved Dash. It cost 650 dollars and was the first cheap car in the world. The same year the fire destroyed the factory and Olds had to sell its shares. In 1908 the company became a part of GM.
The firm produced a legendary "muscle car 4-4-2" and "Tornado", but in 2005 the company stopped its existence. The production was stopped because of the low demand for the cars. The management offers different discounts and bonuses to sell the cars, but it hardly helps.
