Nissan Diesel Motor Co. is a Japanese company, whose main business is to manufacture and sell diesel engines light, medium and heavy duty diesel trucks, buses, and special-purpose vehicles.

It's an international trademark, which 100% owned by Volvo Group. The company was established in 1935 in Japan. They produced diesel engines, then buses and trucks.

In the 50s the company became one of the leading transport equipment manufacturers.

Up to the 80s the company changed its name several times. By that time the brand had a wide range of light, medium and heavy-duty trucks. The company cooperated with Iveco Company, Italy; with Belgium car manufacturers.

Recently the company manufactured a new heavy-duty truck in Japan and Asian countries.

Nissan Diesel was purchased by the Volvo Group in 2007 and is now a subsidiary. Their trucks are marketed in 70 countries. Some of the main markets are Japan, USA, Australia & Russia.
