Limousines from Lincoln in the market

In 1908 Cadillac Motor, a company established at the beginning of the 20th century by Henry Leland, joined General Motors Company. Ten years later Leland left General Motors and immediately founded a new company Lincoln Motor which had a very good start-up thanks to governmental orders.

The first limousine from Lincoln was manufactured in 1920 (Model L). The limousine was equipped with a V-shaped 8-cylinder engine.

With this model Henry Leland took an attempt to enter the jet set of the American car manufacturers but this attempt wasn't successful. Moreover, it caused the company large losses as the design of the car was very poor and the body was very simple. As a result, in 1922 the company Lincoln Motor appeared on the edge of bankruptcy. Leland decided to sell the company to Henry Ford who literary rescued Lincoln and gave it to his son. At the end of 1922 the new model Lincoln L was presented to the public. Later this car was updated.

Since that time Lincoln cars has become very popular all over the world.

One of the main components of Lincoln's success was the fact that these cars were official cars of the American presidents and stayed in this status till 60 more years. Lincoln Limousines were popular with the royal families of Norway, Romania, Sweden and others.
