Freightliner
Freightliner Trucks is a vehicle manufacturing company. It's the division of Daimler AG and was set up in 1942.
Freightliner Trucks company is known for the heavy duty diesel trucks. In the 30s it was decided to produce heavy trucks because the trucks existing at that time were not powerful enough to climb steep hills. The production was interrupted by the World War II and renewed by the end of the 40s. The trucks were sold mostly in Canada.
At present time the company has relocated its factory to Mexico and has laid off 800 its workers, but the company still remains the leading one in the sphere of heavy-duty trucks building.
